Support Financial Horse

I founded Financial Horse so that ordinary Singaporeans no different from myself would have a place to come to for simple, no bullshit investment advice. I wanted to use my knowledge and my passion for financial investments, to provide clear, unbiased reviews of financial products for average Singaporeans. And above all, I wanted to show all Singaporeans that successful investing doesn’t require a Harvard MBA, or a fancy banker with expensive management fees, all it requires is a bit of common sense, and a lot of emotional courage. I continue to do that to this day, and I will continue to do so for as long as this blog is running.

Since I started, this blog has surpassed my personal expectations. Through our common interest in investing and together with FH’s dedicated Facebook group, we have built a community. As this community grows, I also receive many questions about investing and portfolio management. I try to answer questions through Ask FH so that other people with similar questions may also read my response and benefit as well. In addition, and most thankfully, I have also had very helpful readers who help to answer questions and to moderate lively discussions on my Facebook group. I thank each and every one of you who have been so instrumental in helping our community grow and for the many things, investment or otherwise, that I have learnt from you.

With the year coming to a close, I wanted to launch a new initiative, as a way for engaged readers to help support and contribute to the maintenance of this site. I do want to emphasise to all readers that this initiative is 100% voluntary. I don’t want anyone to feel pressured to support this site if you are unable to afford it, and for such readers, the core content will always remain free for as long as this blog is around.

Even if you are willing and able to support this site, rest assured that you will be able to cancel your support at any time, with absolutely no penalty. All proceeds received from this initiative will go purely into upkeep of the website, and on the creation of new features such as Financial Chickens.

To thank all of you who are interested in supporting this site, I will also be providing additional content on the following basis:

  1. Hi FH,

I would like to become a Patron. Can I check if the access to your buy and sells is updated on a weekly basis or on a monthly basis? On the patron page, it states that “Exclusive Access to stocks that I am buying / selling (updated weekly)”. However, the personal portfolio posts seems to only be updated on a monthly basis instead of a monthly basis.

    • Hi Lai,

Personal portfolio posts is updated on a weekly basis. It’s just that I update the post each week instead of creating a new post, hence if you check the number of posts there is only 1 a month.

      Hope this clarifies! 🙂
